Educating and supporting volunteer TNR trappers who encounter kittens outdoors.

Helping to determine the right age for removal of kittens into rescue and sterilization of the mother cat.
Donations will help facilitate and support volunteer TNR trappers.

Kittens in need of rescue can wait days and weeks until rescue placement.

Supporting their care with kitten food, litter and intermediate veterinary care can be vital for their placement.

TNR trappers/fosters MUST actively be reaching out for rescue backing/placement as WE ARE NOT A RESCUE.

Feral Kittens

Do not remove kittens under 6 weeks of age only observe in environment.

Identify kitten ages to determine when they’re the right age to pull for socialization and when it’s too late. At 12 weeks and older, unfortunately socialization is not recommended.

Defining kittens as “friendly” for rescue means they can be picked-up and held.

What is TNR?

Trap Neuter Return is an effective method to control the population of community cats.

The process begins by setting up appointments with a TNR clinic.

The cats are trapped with a humane live trap. Then they will get fixed, rabies & FVRCP vaccinated and left ear tipped.

Cats are held 24 hours for recovery and then returned to where they were trapped.

Kitten Diseases

Kittens born outside are the most vulnerable: parasites-fleas, intestinal worms, ear mites, upper respiratory infections, FIV/FELV.

“Cats are like music. It’s foolish to try to explain their worth to those who don’t appreciate them.”
